Week 14: 14 - 20 march 2016: chimney time! --- Semaine 14: 14-20 mars 2016: début du montage de la cheminée!

Since we are going to have a fireplace, we need a brand new chimney. There was an old chimney, but using this one is absolutely not secure.
So we decided to create a brand new chimney ourselves, starting from the upper floors.
The principle is quiet easy: mounting bushels, isolating them with rock wool and finally mounting ytong blocks around it.
So we made a hole from the attic until the ground floor, then started to mount everything and finally hide everything with plaster plates and this is the result:
Vu que nous allons avoir un poêle à bois, il nous faut une cheminée. La maison disposait d'une ancienne cheminée, mais pas du tout sécurisée.
Nous avons donc installée une nouvelle, en commençant par les étages supérieurs.
Le principe est relativement simple: monter des boisseaux, isoler le tout avec de la laine de roche, monter des blocs ytong autour de la structure avant de cacher le tout par des plaques de pâtre.
